His arms smelled of salt and saltiness. Made her mind the sea. Often they had spent the night lying on rocks counting the stars. He loved sleeping on her. Loved waking up in those arms with seafood and summer. His tanned skin contrasting with the pale of her. Were one the other projection. They lived in fits and starts, almost by accident, but without hesitation or mental brakes. Signs on their back of each moment spent together but they could not be distant. Fire and ice. Good and evil. Smile and tear. Life kept them distant. But they loved sleeping upon.
Le sue braccia profumavano di sale e salsedine. Le facevano venire in mente il mare. Spesso avevano passato la notte stesi sugli scogli a contare le stelle. Amava dormirle addosso. Amava svegliarsi tra quelle braccia al sapore di mare e d'estate. La sua pelle abbronzata contrastava con quella pallida di lei. Erano l'uno la proiezione dell'altra. Si vivevano a singhiozzo, quasi per sbaglio, ma senza remore o freni mentali. Si portavano addosso o segni di ogni istante passato insieme eppure non potevano starsi lontani. Fuoco e ghiaccio. Bene e male. Sorriso e lacrima. La vita li teneva lonani. Ma loro amavano dormirsi addosso.
